Lighthouse Facts
--The Big Sable Point light stands more than 100 feet tall and is one of the tallest lighthouses on the Great Lakes
--It is constructed of brick, encased in iron
--It is located at coordinates of latitude 44 degrees 3 minutes 27.8 seconds N and longitude 86 degrees 20 minutes 52.0 seconds W
--It originally had a 3rd order Fresnel lens, but is now automated with an electric lamp
--The lighthouse is operated by the Sable Points Lighthouse Keepers Association
